Kristie Post-entry:
Our delayed honeymoon to New Zealand starts today. Chad and I have worked round the clock the last few days to take the time off. It's the first day of decent weather here in SLC for about a week, and of course, our flight is delayed. And so it is. We sit at he airport biding time, seeking out distractions, watching passersby - a mix of harried travelers, frazzled mothers precariously juggling luggage & pushing strollers and sharply-dressed flight attendants and pilots. Mostly people in hoodies, sweats, and yoga pants. I wore the tightest of my jeans. Damnit. Chad quickly located the McDonald's and treated himself to a few cheeseburgers - a real treat for him. He justified the purchase as the most economical of all the airport food court offerings, and in fact, he is probably correct. We rarely get fast food, mostly because of Chad's tyrant wife (yours
truly), who forbids anything hastily prepared out of into the house. Chad eats the burgers happily. Cheap, delicious, greasy food...that is the way to a man's heart. He makes me smile.
